Virtual Teaching Center

To expand its commitment to teachers, CORD has created the Virtual Teaching Center (VTC). The VTC has five videoconferencing studios, within which high-technology equipment captures, compresses, transmits, and receives real-time audio and video communications over telephone lines. This new capability through technology allows the Virtual Teaching Center to go beyond accepted standards for "distance learning" to assist the educational community by providing:
  • Interactive professional development;
  • New strategies for teaching and learning;
  • Assistance for local, state and federal technology initiatives;
  • Management solutions for collaborative projects;
  • New connections with business and industry for School-to-work activities;
  • Opportunities to network with a community of educators similarly involved with videoconferencing.
NEW!! Check out the Partnership for Videoconferencing in Education.
