Poster Sessions

W elcome to the Biotech Summit Call for Poster Sessions submission process. As part of a select group of students invited to the Biotech Summit, you will have the unique opportunity to present your research and studies to a distinguished assembly of leaders in the biotech industry.  All students must present their own poster.

Please read the guidelines and complete all areas of the form linked below.

Preference will be given to posters that:
  • Report new content or information that is a result of collaboration between projects, centers, industry, or other partners.
  • Focus on workforce diversity and best practices for serving students from groups underrepresented in STEM such as women, persons with disabilities, persons of color, and Veterans.
  • Show interdisciplinary approach to technology areas with technician participation.
  • Showcase students and their projects.

Student posters will be displayed in West Court.

10:30–11:00 Networking Break and Student Posters
12:30–1:30 Networking Break and Student Posters Box Lunches Available (Great Hall)
3:00–3:30 Networking Break and Student Posters

Guidelines

Poster printing: An approved vendor will print and ship all student posters to the event.

Pre-formatted poster templates will be provided. Access to the templates and instructions for creating and printing posters will be emailed after the abstract has been approved.

All presenters must register for the conference.

Student transportation to the National Academy of Sciences: Students will meet at 7:00 a.m. in the Hyatt Place hotel lobby to begin boarding the bus. Buses will depart at 7:30.

Poster sessions will be held on Monday at the times listed above. Each poster session presenter will display their materials on a 48″ × 96″ bulletin board. Pushpins will be provided. Students must be present to discuss the poster. Poster size will be 36″ × 48″.

Students will attend the summit sessions all day concluding with the networking reception that wraps up at 6:30. During networking breaks, students will be available at their respective posters for questions and discussion.

No equipment or tables will be used during poster sessions.
